Burnt Honey Hops Glazed Chicken Wings

 

Ingredients:

  • 2.5# chicken wings

  • 2 T baking powder

  • 1 T chili powder

  • 1 T garlic powder

  • 1 T onion powder

  • 2 tsp thyme - dried

  • 2 tsp cumin

  • 1/2 t cayenne - optional

  • 2 tsp salt

  • avocado oil

Glaze

  • 1 c apple cider

  • 1 T Burnt Honey Hops Bitters

  • 1 tsp dijon mustard

  • 2 tsp soy sauce

  • 1 T butter

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Line a sheet tray with foil and place a metal rack on top.

  2. Combine the chili, garlic, and baking powder, thyme, salt, cumin and cayenne in a small bowl and whisk together.

  3. Pat the chicken dry and drizzle with oil and coat with the dry rub.

  4. Place chicken on top of the metal rack on the sheet tray, leaving space between each wing.

  5. Bake for 35-40 minutes.

  6. While chicken is baking make the glaze. Add apple cider, mustard and soy sauce to a small pot and cook on med/high heat until the liquid has reduced by half.

  7. Stir in Burnt Honey Hops Bitters and butter. Set aside.

  8. Remove chicken from the oven and spoon glaze over each piece. Return to the oven and bake for 5 minutes.

  9. Serve with fresh greens and sliced apples!
