Spicy Hoisin Chicken

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 lb chicken thighs/breasts

  • 2 cloves garlic-minced

  • 1 T ginger-peeled and minced

  • 1 1/2 T hoisin 

  • 1/2 T sriracha

  • 1 T maple syrup

  • 1 T soy sauce

  • pinch salt

  • 1 T Plum and Oak Bitters

  • 1 T oil

  • 1 t sesame seeds

Instructions:

  1. Add garlic, ginger, hoisin, sriracha, maple syrup, soy sauce, salt and Plum and Oak Bitters to a small bowl and mix to combine.

  2. Cut chicken into 1 in cubes and add to the marinade. Let sit for 15-60 minutes.

  3. Heat 1 T of oil in a large skillet over med/high heat.

  4. Carefully add the chicken to the pan, careful it will splatter.

  5. Sauté chicken until brown and crisp on the outside and fully cooked through.

  6. Serve over rice or with a salad and garnish with sesame seeds.
